Last Sunday was the last volunteer patrol for the 2014/15 season, thank you to all our patrol members for their time and effort this season. Yamba SLSC is grateful for the continued support of its members, sponsors and the local community

The following courses are being held by the Branch: Spinal Management (30th May) and First Aid (31st May). These courses are free for all Yamba SLSC members; please contact the office ASAP if you would like to attend.

IRB training for drivers and crew persons will be held throughout the winter. Please contact James Ryan on 0400 353 792 if you would like to participate.

There was a small field of 13 swimmers in the Carl Schaeffer Handicap Swim on Saturday. Brendan Wall, off 230 seconds was first, Jim Wheeler, off 130 seconds, second and Jim Dougherty, off 150 seconds, third. Sunday was the final swim for this season, and Mitch Imeson, off 170 seconds, claimed his first victory for the season from a field of 17 starters. Mark Eaves, off 130 seconds, was second and Joe Dougherty, off 240 seconds, third. Congratulations to Jane Lawrence for winning the Carl Schaeffer Memorial pointscore for the 2014/15 season.

Save the Dates: Club Presentation Day:  Saturday 13 June , the Annual General Meeting:  Sunday 26 July and the Yamba SLSC Charity Golf Day Sunday 23 August.

Yamba SLSC meat raffles are on every Saturday evening at the Yamba Golf and Country Club. Jan and Jim Saunders, Trish and Kerry Pidcock will be selling tickets from 5:30pm with the draw staring at 6:30pm. Go along and try you luck!
