All members are reminder that existing keys to all areas of the club (except the gym and roller doors) will become INACTIVE this Tuesday, August 26. New keys are now available to current financial members from the office at a cost of $10. Keys will be issued to patrol members free of charge for those requiring them. Regular office hours are Monday 9am-12pm, Tuesday 2pm-5pm, Friday 10am-2pm. The office will also be open this weekend, Saturday 9am-2pm and Sunday 2pm-5pm.

My weather prediction for the weekend was very wrong as the Yamba SLSC’s Annual Charity Golf Day at the Yamba Golf and Country Club had to be postponed due to the wet weather! It will now be held on Sunday 12th October, teeing off at 10:30am with a shotgun start.  Entry fee includes BBQ lunch and drink tickets and there are fantastic prizes to be won, including hole-in-one and closest to the hole on selected greens and trivia questions on each green. Early registrations are being taken at the Yamba Golf and Country Club or you can register on the morning.

A Branch JAC (nippers) course is being held on Sunday 31st August in Yamba. All nipper committee persons, age managers, water safety personnel and parents are recommended to attend this course. For more information and to register your attendance please contact Kerry Lee 0413536944 or email yambanippers@gmail.com.

Nipper information and sign on sessions will be held on Sunday 14th September 11am-1pm at Yamba Surf Club, Wednesday 17th September 3-4pm in the Yamba Public School Hall and Sunday 21st September 10am-12pm at Yamba Surf Club. Please contact Kerry Lee with any nipper enquiries on 0413536944 or email yambanippers@gmail.com

Proficiency for all active members will be held on Sunday 14 September starting promptly at 8:30am. Patrols will start on Saturday 20 September. Club Captain James Ryan will have the patrol roster finalised soon and it will be sent out to active members in early September.

The Yamba SLSC meat raffles are on at the Yamba Golf and Country Club every Saturday evening, with over 30 prizes to be won each week. This week Ray O’Brien, Pat Ridgway, Steve Pettet and Rob Foster will be selling tickets from 5:30pm with the draw starting at 6.30 p.m.
