The Yamba SLSC Annual General Meeting is being held at the Clubhouse this Sunday, 26th July at 2pm. All members are encouraged to attend.

Congratulations to everyone involved in the rescue craft training weekend held at Main Beach on Sunday. Jet Ski, IRB and Jetboat drivers and crewpersons were able test their skills and practice techniques with manoeuvring in the surf, patient pickups and search and rescue scenarios. The swell provided plenty of challenges to drivers and crewpersons and entertainment to spectators. A special thank you to the “patients” Max Normand, Jack Earle, Jack Brighton and Shannon Colwell, who spent a chilly morning in the surf!

A First Aid course is being held at Yamba Clubhouse on Sunday 2nd August. Please contact the office by 5pm this Friday, 24th July, to enrol. IRB driver and crewperson assessment will also take place on 2nd August, and an Advanced Resuscitation Techniques Certificate is being held in Yamba on Sunday the 30th August, please enrol by 21st August. Courses are free to all club members.

Club Registrar Cathy Dougherty reminds all club members thatthe new club season for Yamba SLSC commenced on July 1st and all club and gym memberships for the 2015/16 season are now due. Members are reminded that it is necessary to complete a new membership form each season, either online or on paper, and to pay the relevant fees. The fee schedule remains the same as last season and is available from the club website www.yambaslsc.com.au . We encourage all renewing members to complete forms and payments online by going to portal.sls.com.au to login and then look for the Lifesaving Online tab to renew and make payments. This system allows you to do away with paper forms and to pay online by Visa or Mastercard. For those who are unable to use the online system, a membership form was mailed out with the Annual Report with additional forms available from the club website or office. New members are encouraged to join up during club office hours in order to be directed to the appropriate membership category and to obtain further information that may be useful. All gym users must complete new forms and pay the relevant fees where necessary in order to be covered by insurance for the current season.
