Congratulations to the winners in the annual 200 club. First prize was generously donated back to Yamba Surf Club, the winners wishing to remain anonymous. Andrea Miltiadou, Spar Yamba, Johno Johnson, A. Hayes & S. Scofield and Dale Pigram all won second prizes.  Winners of the 10 minor draws were C. & J. Rheinberger, Geoff Sanders, Mick Halvorson, Allan Lawrence, Jane Morrison, Roley Green, Brian Leary, Tom Crozier, Norm Ratjens and Patrick Dougherty. Thank you to everyone who purchased tickets.

The next round of the North Coast Surf Boat Series will be held at Woolgoolga on Saturday and Yamba will again be strongly represented by 5 boat crews. The Over 160 years Masters crew are presently leading the point score in their division and will be out to extend their lead at Woolgoolga with only the final round at Coffs Harbour on March 7 to follow. Other Yamba crews in contention in the point scores are the Open Women’s crew in second place in their division and the Reserve crew who are in third place in their division.

31 swimmers participated in the Carl Schaeffer Handicap Swim on Sunday morning. Jorden Elabbasi, off 140 seconds took out first, place, with Bella Gilbert, off 50 seconds, second and Don Marsh, off 180 seconds third. January monthly mug was Jake Beaumont on 21 points, Jim Wheeler, Andrew Law and Lindsey Wall all on 17 points. The current over all point score at the end of January sees Todd Ives in first place on 53 points, closely followed by Jane Lawrence on 52 points! The swim is held every Sunday at 11:30am with names taken from 11am.

There was plenty of action on Sunday morning with Yamba Nippers having their first Club Championship morning. This friendly competition day saw all the nippers take part in some serious and not so serious events. Well done to all our Nippers who took part to the best of their abilities.

Jim Dougherty has unfortunately had to cancel Nipper board training this Saturday morning.

Andrea Miltiadou is looking at starting March Past training, getting ready for the Branch Championships at Salt on 14th-15th February. Please contact Andrea if your child would like to be part of the March Past team for this carnival.

U12-14 parents are on set up, pack up and BBQ duty this Sunday. Could you please be at the beach by 9am.

Yamba SLSC meat raffles are on every Saturday evening at the Yamba Golf and Country Club. Jan & John Snelling, Alan Schofield and Warwick Mawhinney will be selling tickets from 5:30pm with the draw staring at 6:30pm. With 33 meat trays up for grabs, come along and try you luck!

Sunday 8th 12.30-4pm Patrol 2- Mitch Imeson, Luke Patricks, Katie Becker, Cathy Felmingham, Pierre De Billot, Molly Sanders, Ellie Felmingham, Xahlia Pashen.
