For a bit of holiday fun, Yamba Rotary will be holding its annual fun day at Yamba’s Main Beach on Sunday 18th January. After having a mid season break, Nippers resumed on Sunday. The kids all enjoyed catching up with each other again and everyone got back into the swing of things easily.

The weather was great but unfortunately Main Beach was rough and foamy so water activities were moved to Convent Beach. U6, U7 & U8’s practiced their beach sprinting techniques and had fun participating in wading activities. U9, U10 & U11’s spent a lot of time at Convent regaining their confidence with the swim & boards. U12-14’s started their Resuscitation Award before heading to Covent for swim & board activities.

Jim Dougherty has been holding board and surf swimming training on Saturday mornings at 8am at Main Beach for U9’s-14’s. Please let Kerry Lee know each week if your child will be attending so compulsory water safety requirements can be met.

Congratulations to Liam O’Shea from our U6’s who received our Nipper of the week Award. Liam was a great listener, enthusiastic and participated well. When asked what his favourite part of Nippers is he said, Flags! Thank you to Sassafras Pasta & Pizza for their support and donating a $10 voucher every week.Liam O'Shea
